Description

montebello rennrad Ritchey Montebello Randonneur Bicycle, Size Small, 52cmThe Montebello perfectly represents how a bikes design is a solution to something greater than achieving forward momentum. Even though long distance rides, called brevets, randonneurs, or audaxes (depending on where they happen), date back more than a century, creating bikes uniquely suited for riding hundreds of kilometers at a time has been less of a priority. The Montebello perfectly represents how a bike’s design is a solution to something greater than achieving forward momentum. Even though long-distance rides, called brevets, randonneurs, or audaxes (depending on where they happen), date back more than a century, creating bikes uniquely suited for riding hundreds of kilometers at a time has been less of a priority. Each year Tom Ritchey averages about 15,000 miles in the saddle, which doubles as his “lab” for designing new bikes.

Not simply another road bike, the Montebello adds features and design touches aimed at riders who desire to ride longer than long-distance rides. Built with proprietary triple-butted Logic steel tubing, the Montebello sports increased stack, a longer wheelbase, and a lower bottom bracket than its Road Logic sibling. Such geometrical choices deliver a welcoming and stable ride when you see the sun set and rise again. Other practical features of the frameset include fender and rack mounts that Ritchey fans have been asking for.

This unique bicycle also includes the new WCS Carbon Brevet Fork designed specifically for this frame. With clearance for 40c tires without a fender — or 36 with a fender, this fork has special mounting options for either a porteur or lowrider rack on its legs, and threaded drilling in the crown for attaching said rack lights. Ideal for long rides, internal Dynamo routing is fast becoming standard among Ritchey adventure forks. And, of course, the Brevet Fork sports the hallmark of Ritchey forks – a 1–1/8th straight steerer for a precise yet forgiving ride experience. Rack and fender mounts, Internal Dynamo Routing, Porteur or Low-Rider Rack Mounts, and External cable routing w/ routing for Di2 12 speed.

This bicycle is built with a Shimano 105 Di2 2 x 12 speed drivetrain, GRX Wheels and Rene. Herse Bon Jon Pass Endurance 700c x 35mm tires. Fenders, carriers, lights and a dynamo front hub can be added to the bike. Also, we can upgrade the wheels and or tires. Please contact us for options and an estimate at [email protected]

String breaks about halfway
Just as pictured. PROBLEM…..LINE BREAKS ABOUT THE MIDDLE OF THE SPOOL…. Wound so tightly that once you have used the first half it is impossible to use the rest…. So guess what…I have to buy more!

Light weight and very functional
Incredibly light and functional, this trimmer forks with either string or resin blades. I personally prefer the blades. At the time I bought the unit I couldn’t locate replacement resin blades. I finally called Black and Decker and they sent me two packages of the replacement blades for free! The shield keeps trimming from being a messy horror show. No more back soreness because of the ligh weight of the unit. I’m very pleased with both the product and Black and Decker.

Needs improvement
This trimmer really looks nice and it comes with some great attachments but what I found is that if you're going to switch from the line attachment to the little plastic attachment you have to sit somewhere where you can lay the item down because you have to unscrew one to put on the other. There is no way to easily switch from line trimming to attachment trimming without using the device that unhooks the screw. In my opinion that is really a detriment to the beauty of the overall working of this item the weight of it is good, it cuts good it automatically feeds the line out the color is nice and the price is great but then you have the issue of changing the line back and forth if this was improved I think I would definitely give it five stars I'm sorry but improvements need to be made.

This can do some cutting
So glad I purchased this for cutting thin annoying vines and really tall weeds. The resin blades have held up to cutting 1/2" stemmed vines, weeds, and tall johnson grass out on the farm. Have not had to change out the first set and it comes with 3 sets of blades, plus an allen wrench for changing out the rotating head to a wire weedeater. Very happy overall. Too, it is not heavy at all, and noticed the battery lasts longer compared to using the B&D 20v line weedeater .
