An instantly recognizable and ultra flattering Vivienne Westwood 'Queen's Diamond Jubilee' inky black draped silk and lace corset gown dating back to her 2012 capsule collection. Vivienne Westwood (1941-2022) was one of the most influential British designers of the past 40 years. She began designing clothes in 1971 with the opening of her first shop, Let It Rock, at 430 King's Road. In 1976, her then lover and business partner Malcolm McLaren guaranteed her status among the stars when he dressed the Sex Pistols, the British band he managed, in clothes from the boutique. She was named British Designer of the Year, both in 1990 and 1991. The following December, she was awarded an OBE in recognition of her services to British fashion and in 1998 she won the Queen's Export Award. This ultra chic glamour gown from Vivienne Westwood’s sensational 2012 'Queen’s Diamond Jubilee' capsule collection is a clever play on gowns Queen Elizabeth herself has previously worn. Made from a luxurious midweight inky black super-soft silk, the gown is incredibly elegant. The strapless fully boned corset bodice has shimmering metallic lace peeking out around the bustline. I especially love the Westwood signature rounded regal plunging neckline and chic draping that ties in back. Beautiful/update had to return

Worth the price UPDATE: When I wrote my first review I had not taken the purse to the plan event. However on the day that I was putting items inside of the purse, November 4, 2022, when I attempted to close the purse the back of the purse detached from the frame. I had to return the purse. I would love to have another one however I will wait, because the event that I was going to take the person has passed. I had to find another purse at the last minute to take to my event, because of the defective, beautiful purse.

It’s ok.

It’s really pretty. From a distance. Not worth the price point. Probably worth like $15. The craftsmanship is terrible. And there’s glue all over the outside of the stones. It also is sticky and smells strongly. I’m hoping it’ll will dry and air out by the time I need it. it got here in two days which is rare where I am and it photographs well from a distance so that part is great for events. It’s large inside. Think could hold your cell, a friends cell, lipstick and pepper spray easy. The chain is cute. Overall I’d give it five stars if it wasn’t made sooooo badly and didn’t smell so terrible. Id return it if I had time before my event.
