The amount of essential oils in this Lavender variety is much higher than the typical English varieties and it is because of this it has a much stronger Lavender scent. A perfect variety for drying and spice uses with  guaranteed abundance of flowers each year. 

Spica Lavender is also known as Spanish or Portuguese Lavender and is used a great deal commercially in Lavender perfumes, soaps and laundry products. You will often see this variety growing in commercial Lavender farms.
