Philodendron cordatum 'Rio' , also known as Philodendron 'Rio', is an attractive variation of Philodendron cordatum, prized for its variegated foliage. This popular houseplant sports heart-shaped leaves, characteristic of Philodendron cordatum, but with a special twist: its dark green leaves are marked with stripes and spots of cream, light green or silver, providing a striking visual contrast .

Origin: Although Philodendron cordatum is native to tropical regions of South America, the 'Rio' variety is the result of horticultural selection, aimed at creating indoor plants with unique and decorative foliage.

Growth: 'Rio' exhibits climbing or trailing growth, making it ideal for hanging plants, tall planters or as a climbing plant with the appropriate support. Its vigorous growth and dense foliage make it a lush addition to any indoor space.

Flowers: Like most Philodendrons, 'Rio' is grown for its foliage rather than its flowers. Flowers are very rare in indoor cultivation and are generally not the main attraction of the plant.

Light: Prefers bright, indirect light but can adapt to lower light levels. Direct sunlight can burn the leaves, while insufficient light can reduce the vibrancy of the variegation.

Watering: Watering should be moderate, allowing the substrate to dry slightly between waterings. Good drainage is essential to prevent root rot and other problems related to excess water.

Substrate: A well-draining potting mix is recommended. Using a tropical plant substrate enriched with perlite improves drainage while retaining necessary moisture.

Toxicity: Philodendron cordatum 'Rio', like other Philodendrons, contains calcium oxalate crystals which can be irritating and toxic if ingested. It is advisable to keep it out of reach of children and pets.

My paper bowls of choice.
Size: 50 Count
I have been a return buyer of these bowls and amazon basics plates, as they are sturdy and well made, even for liquids. I think there is a generous quantity for the price. I use for my to go meals on the way to work, so I dont have my whole kitchen accumulating in my car. They are good sized and you can fit a decent serving. Will keep buying.

Sturdy paper bowls, economical quantity purchase
Size: 300 Count
I previously bought 50 (?) of the paper plates to check the quality and see how well they hold up before making quantity purchases of other paper products. The bowls hold up well though I use them primarily for cut up avocados, sliced tomatoes, cole slaw, etc. I have used them in the microwave under 15 seconds to reheat toasted English muffins with marmalade with no problem. I use Pyrex glass bowls in the microwave for veggies and soups, so I am unable to speak on how well the bowls hold up with hot foods in the microwave. I resisted buying and using paper bowls and plates for a long time; however, with my 80th birthday fast approaching, the fewer dishes I have to wash means less time standing on my feet. I am an experienced shopper, and these quality paper products bought in bulk are the best buy I have found. I recommend them.

Strong and very convenient
Size: 50 Count
These paper bowls are sturdy and hold up well even with hot or liquid foods. They don’t get soggy easily and are microwave safe, which makes them very convenient. The size is also great for soups, cereal, or leftovers. Good quality for disposable bowls and very practical for everyday use.

Sturdy, great value, very utilitarian
Size: 50 Count
Exactly what I wanted. Exact quality thickness and sturdiness. Only small downside is they're coated in a wax like substance and stick together so you have to pry them apart and if you microwave something, it tends to meld together and also stick into the bowl. But I still love them especially the price.
