The lobes become more pronounced as the plant matures and climbs, and the petioles carry a subtle red blush that adds warmth to the overall look. It is a vigorous, fast-growing climber that rewards vertical support.

Origins
Native to the Atlantic Forest regions of Brazil, Philodendron mayoi grows as a hemiepiphyte in warm, humid understorey environments. It was described relatively recently and named after the Brazilian botanist Simon Mayo.

We had to go get a shelf bracket from lowe’s to get it to sit right and not lean forward. So just beware if you want it to sit flush, you’re going to need something additional. Still worth it for the price!
