Gardener Tips

For continuous harvest, sow in succession 3-4 times, every 3-4 weeks. Direct sow, it is not recommended to transplant. Can be planted in the fall if winters are mild. Roots are sensitive. 

Harvesting Tips

For fresh arrangements, cut stems when the blooms are newly open and the delicate bracts are fully formed. Harvest in the cool of the morning for best vase life.

Love in a Mist is prized for its ornamental seed pods. Allow pods to mature on the plant until they are fully formed, firm, and turning from green to tan before harvesting.  Hang stems upside down or lay them flat in a dry, well-ventilated space.
