Epipremnum aureum 'N'joy' on kultaköynnöslajike joilla on valkoinen kirjavuus. Kuten suurin osa köynnöskasveista, kasvi menestyy paremmin kun annat sen kiipeillä. Tämä lajike menestyy myös hyvin amppelissa.

Kasvi lähetetään istutettuna hydrosoraan, 9 cm ruukussa (halkaisija 9 cm, korkeus 7 cm). Hydromittari (09/07) on ostettavissa erikseen. 

 

Epipremnum, kultaköynnökset yleisesti

Kultaköynnöksien sukuun kuuluu joukko ikonisia  köynnöksiä. Köynnökset kiipeävät ilmajuuriensa avulla puiden pinnalla. Juuret voivat näyttää pieniltä nypyiltä lehtityven vastakkaisella puolella tai pitkiltä maahan roikkuvilta ilmajuurilta. Parhaiten tunnettu Epipremnum suvun jäsen on kultaköynnös (Epipremnum aureum) sen helppohoitoisuuden ja elinvoimaisen kasvutavan vuoksi. Sen näyttävät lehdet voivat kantaa värivirheettä kirkkaan valkoisesta kullan keltaiseen. Jotkut lajit kuten Epipremnum pinnatum kasvattavat vanhetessaan liuskoittuneita lehtiä myös sisätiloissa.

 

Kultaköynnökset hyötyvät saadessaan kiivetä tukikepille, käyttäessäsi sammalpaalua ja kosteuttamalla sen säännöllisesti kiinnittyvät ilmajuuret tukeen. Tarjotessasi ilmajuurille kosteutta parannat kasvin elintoimintoja. Kaikki suvun köynnökset sopiva myös erinomaisesti amppeliin.

 

Kaikki osat kultaköynnöksestä ovat myrkyllisiä. Käytännössä kasvin nestettä tulee välttää koskettamasta esim. leikatessasi kasvia ja ettei lemmikkisi syö kasvin osia. Kultaköynnöksen maitomainen neste voi aiheuttaa iho-oireita jäädessään iholle.
