The vibrant green, ruffled leaves, the Alocasia 'Macrorrhiza', or the Giant Taro, gets its Giant name by having the largest un-split leaf in the world!

Being that it's from a tropical environment, the Macrorrhiza thrives in high humidity, warm temperatures, slightly dry soil, and medium to indirect bright light. The leaves are incredibly large, reaching 10 - 12 feet tall and 4 - 6 feet wide. The large Macrorrhiza comes in a 10” planter. This makes them great as statement plants in a brightly lit lobby, foyer, living room or other big space. Over time this plant may lose some leaves but don’t be alarmed, this is just a natural occurrence in the plant's life cycle as the Alocasias prefer to have a few, very large leaves rather than many smaller leaves.
