The Toyama Hamono spring-loaded mini garden scissors are the perfect tool for your garden pruning needs. When trimming bonsai or small plants, these expertly crafted shears will allow you to cut with precision and ease. The high-carbon steel provides a sharp and long-lasting cutting edge, while the leather handles add comfort to each snip. These shears are intended for cutting branches up to ~0.5 inches thick. The locking tab keeps your mini garden scissors closed, and the included sleeve safely tucks them away.

History: 
Since its founding in 1861, Toyama Hamono has been manufacturing shears for over five generations. Throughout this long history, they have continued to develop new tools for building construction and aircraft production. From their humble beginnings in the Edo period, Toyama Hamono has combined traditional manufacturing and innovative methods to support emerging industries. Today, the original fire-forging method is still used for shear manufacturing.

Japanese high-carbon steel with leather trim. Faux leather sleeve.


Care Instructions:
Keep pruners dry, and wipe well after use. Oiling the blades is recommended if the shears will be stored for an extended period of time.

 

Returns must be made within 2 weeks in original, unused condition with all packaging for either 1. Store credit for the full amount or 2. Refund - minus a 20% restocking fee.  Tortoise does not cover the cost of return shipping or the cost of re-shipping an exchange, and the cost of shipping for returns and exchanges is the responsibility of the customer.
