The 'Palm Bella' (or Chamaedorea elegans, often called the Parlor Palm) is the plant I recommend if you want to bring a touch of the tropical into your home without the headache. It’s compact, elegant, and famously forgiving—the perfect houseplant for any gardener!

The biggest secret to keeping this beauty thriving is avoiding two things: direct sun and overwatering. It naturally grows on the floor of a rainforest, so give it medium to bright, indirect light; a spot a few feet away from a sunny window is perfect. Too much direct sun will scorch those delicate fronds. When you water, feel the soil first. Only water when the top inch or two is completely dry. In our dry climate, this plant appreciates a little humidity, so misting it occasionally or placing it near a pebble tray helps prevent those annoying brown leaf tips. Feed it lightly with a palm-specific food once a month in Spring and Summer to encourage those lovely, arching fronds.

Using geological and artistic reasoning to assess terrain/outcrops and sketch them realistically
Format: Hardcover
This book was surprisingly helpful in learning to see which featuers dominate a terrain and which details to ignore, which to focus on so that the scale and architecture are accurate. Handy for geologists, geographers and landscape artists.

Boggs jr. Review
Format: Hardcover
After reading several books on sedimentary petrology, this seems to be far away the best book of my list. Chapters on diagenesis are just delicious, both of clastic and carbonate rocks. Provenance, textures and structures are complete too, and sistematics are well organiced and complete. Very recommended, I choose Boggs Jr. It arrived in great conditions without any problems.
