Keeping them tight in their pots can also encourage flowering, and they should be watered thoroughly but allowed to dry almost completely in between. Less common are so-called ‘bird’s nest’ Anthuriums, which may have less remarkable and prolific flowers but are grown for their large, impressive leaves which are stiffer and waxier than their siblings.
