Imidacloprid 2F Select T/I is a professional-grade, systemic insecticide designed to protect turfgrass and landscape plants from damaging soil-dwelling and foliar insect pests. Once applied and watered in, the active ingredient moves into the root zone and plant tissue, delivering long-lasting control where insects feed.

This product contains 2 pounds of imidacloprid per gallon, the same active ingredient used in well-known products like Merit®, offering reliable performance for both residential and commercial turf applications.


What It Controls on Turfgrass

Imidacloprid 2F Select T/I is labeled for control or suppression of the most common turf-damaging insects, including:

  • White grubs (Japanese beetle, chafers, Phyllophaga spp.)

  • Billbugs

  • Annual bluegrass weevil

  • European crane fly

  • Mole crickets

  • Black turfgrass ataenius

  • Cutworms (suppression)

  • Chinch bugs (suppression)

For best results, applications should be timed before or during egg hatch, followed by irrigation to move the product into the soil profile.

Imidacloprid 2F Select T/I is labeled for use on all common cool-season and warm-season turfgrasses, including:

  • Perennial ryegrass

When to Apply (Seasonal Timing Guide)

Spring to Early Summer

  • Apply before egg hatch for grubs, billbugs, and crane flies

  • Ideal timing is based on soil temperature and pest history

Mid to Late Summer

  • Apply for mole cricket control during peak egg hatch

  • Chinch bug suppression applications should target early instar nymphs

Important:
Irrigation or rainfall must occur within 24 hours after application to activate the product in the soil.


Mixing Instructions (Turf Applications)

  • Mix with enough water to evenly cover the treatment area

  • Do not apply with irrigation systems

  • Use at least 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq ft

  • Apply with calibrated turf spray equipment using coarse droplets

  • Water in after application to move product into the root zone

Always shake well before use.
