Chic tree form of the fantastic Althea shrub, our expert growers have turned one of the longest-blooming Proven Winners ® flowering shrubs into a fantastic patio tree. You'll adore the pretty shade of these frilly flowers. Also known as Althea, and modern varieties of the native Rose Mallow and Hardy Hibiscus family, we bet you'll love their showy low-maintenance nature, as well!

The Lavender Chiffon® Rose of Sharon Tree Form (Hibiscus syriacus 'Notwoodone') makes a wonderfully dramatic, larger-than-life impression! This variety is one of the very best for fluffy, anemone-like blooms. It features large, single lavender flowers, each adorned with a beautiful, lacy center. Lavender Chiffon® produces many blossoms over the course of the summer and fall. Each bloom seems to last a long time!

Rely on the carefree Rose of Sharon shrub for luxurious white blooms that just keep coming. It's a perfect plant to add flower power, just as most other flowering shrubs are finishing up for the season. Now elevated into a single stem tree-form that raises these gorgeous blooms 8-12 feet in height, but only spreading 4-6 feet in width!

Lavender Chiffon® Rose of Sharon Tree Form is a cunning, small tree! They'll make a big impression with their plentiful flowers and are field tested and display limited seed production; if any at all. This is one tough plant and is able to maintain itself through good weather and poor alike. Gardening newbie? This is a great tree form for you!

Planting and Application:

Space-saving Rose of Sharon trees are perfect for gardens of all sizes! Even a tiny bungalow can successfully enjoy these delightful ornamental trees. Add at least one offset to your front door or anchor and soften your foundation plantings! If you have a postage-stamp size porch, these cute flowering trees can easily help screen an outdoor chair and table.

Watch the world go by in a private summertime reading nook. Study the soft, sophisticated blooms. Enjoy your cup of coffee or a nice glass of iced tea. Imagine being situated, nicely concealed just out of sight, behind a flowering privacy screen! Go big and create entire garden rooms and living walls with these airy screening plants paired with their shrub forms! Mix and match with other Chiffon® series Rose of Sharon, or use this tree-form Althea to punctuate Rose bushes, Perennials, or mixed shrub borders.

You can use Lavender Chiffon® Rose of Sharon Tree Form as accents and focal points no matter if you have a large lot or just a small courtyard. It is a modern cultivar of Rose of Sharon that was field-tested for many years to be non-invasive. That's because most of the beautiful flowers are sterile and don't produce much if any, seed.

Lavender Chiffon® Trees will become a dramatic focal point in your landscape! Wonderfully beneficial in the Pollinator garden, you'll draw in Hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies to sip the much-needed nectar and collect pollen! Have a picture window? Place them where you can enjoy the blooms and their many visitors from inside your home!

Use it anywhere with pride of ownership. It will easily elevate the tone of your great outdoors. Include an informal grouping of three, five or seven of these pretty trees in a lawn planting.

Have an unsightly view? Site them carefully, and you'll be so pleased to gain a sense of strategic screening. Plant them four feet apart on center, if you want the canopies to grow together and touch. Expand that spacing to eight feet if you want the individual trees to stand apart as specimens. Vary the spacing between four and eight feet for a very natural look. Take the time during planting to look at your planting from close up and from far away.

Stagger your new trees in a gentle, curving zig-zag. For those who appreciate military precision, it's easy to create an avenue of these trees. Evenly space them, measuring from the center of one to the center of the next. Why not try them marching along the length of your driveway or sidewalk? You'll make your neighbors jealous!

Not only gorgeous when grown in the ground, but Althea trees are also fantastic as a "Thriller" in an extra-large container. Add shade to porches and patios, balconies and rooftop gardens, or around your pool deck for pinpoint shade and screening! You'll grow a fabulous garden addition in a small space with their tropical flair.

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Give Rose of Sharon sun, and reap the rewards of plentiful flowers and healthy foliage. Lavender Chiffon® Hibiscus Tree Form grows in any soil unless it is either really wet or extremely dry. This deciduous shrub prefers full sun and is a disease and pest resistant. Provide a moderate amount of water on a regular basis, and use a three-inch layer of arborist mulch over the top of the root system to keep them nice and cool. Apply a slow-release fertilizer designed for flowering plants at the same time. Follow application rates on the label.

This easy-care plant is a perfect choice, whether you are a beginner or have years of landscaping experience.

Colder growing zones actually hinder seed production, making this plant nearly sterile. Use Lavender Chiffon® anywhere in your yard without worrying about nuisance seedlings. However, in warmer regions, these can be a bit messy because they have so many seedlings that sprout nearby. Simply deadhead your shrub after flowers fade and remove those seedheads before they mature to combat this.

This pretty shrub blooms on new wood, so in early spring, grab a pair of sharp pruning shears and reduce the overall size of the tree's sphericle canopy to about two to three feet in diameter. You'll have flowers later that season, no matter how tightly you trim them in spring. You can even train these shrubs into multi or single-stemmed tree forms! Renewal prune every 3-5 years to maintain vigor. For larger trees, you might consider only reducing the size to a three to four-foot sphere. Just remember to finish pruning each spring before new growth starts. Otherwise, you risk damaging the newly formed flowers.

  • Full Sun

  • Somewhat Drought Tolerant & Tolerates Salt Spray
  • Produces Few to No Seeds, Non-Invasive
  • Prune Early Spring - Blooms on New Wood
  • Vigorous & Very Low Maintenance

Tree Form vs. Shrub Form

The details make all the difference in a garden. At Naturehills.com, we understand that little things like what form a plant is can greatly impact how you plan your landscape. So before you buy, don’t forget to check which form you’re getting.

Tree Form:

These are plants that have one stem coming from the ground. Plants can also be considered single stem when lower branches are removed to raise the height of the branching to a more desired height. Sometimes, you will hear a tree form referred to as a single stem.

Shrub Form:

These are bushy plants with many stems and branchings close to the ground. They are referred to as shrubs or bushes and are often shorter than their tree forms.

I just knew there was something about Cooper! I’m wondering if he’s about to be included but damn I’m glad he’s at least not a rapist and creepy guy, he just got called on assignment and had to go! This should be interesting! She’s gonna run and then what’s his face is gonna grab her. I’m worried! Wow that was a great book and cliffhanger! Loving this!

Baby bumps and bodyguards
Format: Kindle
Dark, emotional, and unexpectedly tender, Not Ready is an omegaverse romance that delivers found family feels, fierce protectiveness, and a very pregnant heroine who refuses to break. Vale’s on the run from a stalker, but lands in the arms of three private security alphas, cue the swoony tension, fake marriage twist, and slow-burn heat. It’s a little gritty, a little soft, and a whole lot addictive. If you love protective alphas, high stakes, and heroines with quiet strength, this one’s a must-read.

Strong Omegaverse Comfort and a Attention Grabbing Plot
Format: Kindle
Jillian West never misses when it comes to Omegaverse, and Not Ready is no exception. This story was the perfect blend of cozy comfort and emotional depth while still delivering a strong plot. Vale is such a powerful heroine, she is strong, capable, and determined but I love that she still allows her pack to love and take care of her. It’s that balance of independence and vulnerability that makes her so relatable. The relationship dynamics were amazing: Bishop is steadfast and completely head over heels, Mercy is skeptical but protective in his own way, and Holt is the hesitant one whose slow fall is so satisfying to watch unfold. The romance hits that sweet spot between insta-love and cautious build, keeping me hooked the entire way through. And that ending. Oh my god, the cliffhanger! I need the next book in this duet immediately.

Interesting
Format: Kindle
So I will say I enjoyed the story, for sure had its moments where it dragged but it was a great story. I really liked that omegas picked their alphas/make the pack. Normally the Alphas make it and the omega fits in with them which is great but I enjoyed this new version where all the power basically went to the omega. It was a nice change of pace. I can admit some of the weird bedroom stuff with her being pregnant was odd, it’s really not hard to do stuff when pregnant (I know I’ve had two and it’s normal and even encouraged at the end especially if you want the baby out). But I like the story as a whole and will read the second, I do hope the next one isn’t dragged bc it stopped being action or tense after she met her alphas and I don’t think it was brought up or properly done when they tried to do it. More sweet after she left.
