Preparation for Aquarium Use:

1. Boil: Boil the pods for at least 60 minutes to sterilize and help them become waterlogged.  Lotus seed pods are very buoyant and can be difficult to get waterlogged.  Use an aquarium-safe weight to hold the pod down if necessary.

2. Soak: After boiling, soak the pods in cold, clean water overnight.

3. Ready to Use: Once they sink, they are ready to add to your tank.
