DEET-FREE    ORGANIC PLANT-BASED     NON-GMO

In 2013, a NY Times writer decided to test DEET-FREE bug repellents - from zappers to national brands - and discovered that our Bug Me Not was the only thing that worked as he and his wife enjoyed outdoor dining one buggy, July evening, at one of our busy Shoreline lobster restaurants !

When I was at a Festival one fine Spring day in 2012, with May flies and mosquitoes just beginning to let everyone know they were around, folks began noticing that the area surrounding my canopy was the only place there were no bugs.  The natural scents of the essential oils I use in all of the products we make kept them at more than arm's length! But it wasn't just that...

.... in particular, the bug spray we developed, Bug Me Not, with its primary ingredient of Lemon Eucalyptus oil, sent the bugs in another direction!

Boy, did I sell a lot of Bug Me Not that day - and people were very very satisfied!

Our Bug Me Not deters mosquitoes, gnats, flies, deer flies and most other bothersome bugs. AND TICKS!  The ingredients we use are on the CDC's list of nontoxic tick repellents.

Bugs don’t like these smells - but you, & everyone else, will!  This formula is all-natural and contains no chemical emulsifier so you do have to give it a good shake before you mist yourself, your dog's back, and all of your other best friends. The essential oils we use we listed in the ingredients, so you can see that it actually does smell good!

We use calendula and chamomile, why? Being an herbalist, I soon decided to improve the formula by adding calendula and chamomile flowers.  I tincture them in the organic witch hazel we source right here in Connecticut. Calendula and chamomile are both known skin-healers so it only made sense to add them to a product designed for use on your skin. Consider it a bonus! Your welcome!

The most active bug me not ingredients are lemon eucalyptus, citronella java (the lemony-smelling one, not the one in those yard candles), lemongrass, peppermint and rose geranium (geraniol), all very effective bug repellents.

Safe for pets and kids. Safe on skin, most fabrics & fur.

Avoid spraying in anyone’s eyes, mouth or nose! First, shake shake shake. Now spray it directly onto your exposed skin, or into your palm and then apply - and send those bugs flying!  For kids, spray it into your palm before dabbing it on their necks, foreheads, arms and legs.  At the risk of repetition, please avoid eyes, mouths and noses!.

For dogs, apply it behind their ears or above their tails. Do not use it on cats!

Ingredients: wild-crafted witch hazel, calendula and chamomile tinctures, vegetable glycerin, the following essential oils: Citrus aurantium dulcis (sweet orange), Eucalyptus citriodora (lemon eucalyptus), Litsea cubeba (may chang),Cymbopogan nardis (citronella), Cymbopogan schoenanthes (lemongrass), Tsuga canadensis (spruce), Mentha piperita (peppermint), Mentha spicata (spearmint), Pelargoneum graveolens (rose bourbon), menthol crystals, xanthan gum (to help the emulsion hold after you shake it)

Revives my idealistic heart to hold out for real peace
Format: Paperback
Sometimes it's easy to think the world has become so murky that truth barely matters any more. Kazu Haga keeps it real and shows us how to be nonviolent without becoming martyrs to the cause. The book acts as a reminder that taking a principled stand on violence is the only way change has occurred in history, but also acknowledges that we need to love our whole selves and use our brains to step outside habitual patterns of trauma-triggered violence.

Good for general knowledge!
Format: Paperback
I'm an IT guy but not an Active Directory SME. If it doesn't have a command line and doesn't route or switch I quickly fall off the cliff of interest in it. That being said, I needed to have a good starting guide and future reference guide to Active Directory so after some Google'ing I settled on this book. While I haven't read it cover to cover yet, I have used it to study up on a few specific areas of AD. It's also got a permanent spot near by work desk for use as a reference guide as needed.

Good info that helps
Format: Paperback
This had info that helped our AD lockouts issues or at least ease the pain while our vendor figures it out. A powershell command that unlocks all AD users instead of having to unlock each one. In the troubleshooting section

More than just the most comprehensive book on AD
Format: Paperback
I have been working with Active Directory since it was released in 2000 and even before that if you count its predecessor Exchange's directory. I can confidently say that this is the most comprehensive book on Active Directory that I have ever read. Of course there are all of the basics like designing AD structures, migrations to AD 2022, management of objects and group policies but then all of the AD services are also covered in-depth like DNS, DS, LDS, FS, RMS and CS. Furthermore this book tackles trusts, database maintenance and backup and recovery. While not a book about Azure AD, there is a ton of information about Azure AD. The author takes the time and effort to compare AD with Azure AD and there are hundreds of references to Azure AD in terms of building out hybrid AD environments, federated identity and notes about how things are done in Azure AD versus AD. The chapter on PowerShell demonstrates scripts for both AD and Azure AD. Here is what I think makes this book special though, and it is how the entire context for the book is around security, identity and access management. Essentially this book can be viewed as a book on security, identity and access management that demonstrates how to practically implement those concepts in Active Directory and Azure AD. There is fantastic information that explains the concepts of identity and access management clearly and concisely and covers topics such as zero trust, privileged access management (PAM) and more. Then, these concepts are translated into how they are implemented in Active Directory. It's a great way to present the information as it provides real world context and clearly explains the purpose of Active Directory versus purely just describing technical features and functionality. This is the way all technical books should be written.
