Graptopetalum ‘Amethystinum’

Graptopetalum 'Amethystinum', also known as 'Lavender Pebbles' or 'Jewel Leaf Plant', is a native Mexican succulent. Its chubby, rounded leaves exhibit a lovely lavender color, reminiscent of the popular succulent variety called Moonstones (Pachyphytum oviferum). While Graptopetalum amethystinum displays a distinct purple hue, Pachyphytum oviferum typically showcases pale green or bluish-green leaves with hints of pink or purple on the leaf margins. Graptopetalum amethystinum produces delicate star-shaped flowers in pale pink or yellow shades, while Pachyphytum oviferum bears bell-shaped flowers on tall stems, available in pink, yellow, or white tones.

How to care for Graptopetalum ‘Amethystinum’

Sun/Location: Unlike most Echeveria succulents, Graptopetalum 'Amethystinum' is a full-year grower except in hot summer. This succulent variety is easily colored if they get enough sunlight for 2-3 days. However, they are easy to turn green as well for lacking sun. In cold winter, bringing them inside and growing them near south-faced windows or under a grow light is the key to keeping them surviving and thriving. Click here to learn why succulents lose color.

Soil/Pot: Porous, well-draining succulent soil is the basis for growing healthy succulents. You can purchase our ready-to-use soil mix or make your own. Simply mix gritty rocks and perlite with regular potting soil, and you can get your own made soil.

Watering: Like Echeveria Ice Green, Graptopetalum 'Amethystinum' prefers less water than other succulent plants. It is recommended to water when the leaves are slightly wrinkled. In summer, less or no water works if necessary to avoid leaf rot caused by overwatering. Get rid of them when the soft and transparent leaves appear, or you will lose the whole plant.

Our German Shepherd loves it!
Size: Large (Pack of 1)
Order arrived promptly and in good condition. Our GSD barely let us get it out of the package before wanting to play with it. Works great as training reward and for fetch games. Been using it for three weeks, and it is holding up well.

I think this family company improved the strength of the rope staying in the ball
Size: Large (Pack of 1)
I bought two of these balls when I needed to replace my old ones. After I got them I decided to read some reviews and I noticed people were complaining about their rope pulling through easily and their dog chewing through the rope fast. First of all this strictly is a ball for reward and yes tug as a reward while training mostly working dogs and sport dogs so the rope is designed perfectly for that reason. It’s not a chew toy. And as for the rope pulling through easily. I have a big male shepherd over 100 lbs who I was participating in a dog sport with a lot of Really strong tugging and this ball stood up to it perfectly. I think they must have taken advice from the reviews and improved the b-ball if people were having the issue of the rope coming out and someone had suggested putting a piece of something inside the ball to hold the rope in better and now there is one so I would feel fine about suggesting this ball as a reward and training ball. My dog loves them!

Not a bad option
Size: Large (Pack of 1)
I have a 60lb shepherd that i got this for that likes to have an "emotional support" ball everywhere she goes. After losing her old one, I went on Amazon to buy her a new rope ball. My dog likes to chew on her toys and play tug, so I knew I needed something that could handle both. After buying this, I noticed that the orange rubber would break off and the rope would come undone when she picked at it. After a few months the rubber near the rope stated tearing and the rope popped out. It's not a bad toy for dogs, but it's not very well made either. I'll opt for something sturdier next time

My dog simply loves this toy!
Size: Large (Pack of 1)
A simple concept expertly manufactured. Sturdy and durable, this toy will give your aggressive chewer hours of pleasure be it playing tug with her owner or fetching repeatedly. Made to last which is important! This toy gets two paws up from this dog owner. Hours of distraction and fun for all. A classic novelty!
