Like many members of the jades, this variety is overall pretty tolerant. While it can handle lower light conditions, it prefers bright sun and will best maintain its red coloration with adequate light exposure. Like many succulents, the most common reason for it to fail to thrive is overwatering – to avoid this fate, plan to use the ‘soak and dry’ method during the spring, summer, and fall months. During the cooler winter months, water only when you begin to see signs of the leaves shriveling.
