String of Pearls: the succulent equivalent of a statement necklace - minus the tangles. This classic Senecio is sure to bring a touch of sophistication to every lazy gardener’s home. Also known as string of beads or rosary vine, you can hang it up, let it cascade over a shelf, or gift it to a friend in desperate need of some cute décor.

Plant Care Notes

Senecio loves basking in bright, indirect sunlight, so display it near an east- or north-facing window. Just don’t go overboard—direct sunlight is a one-way ticket to a nasty sunburn. String of pearls prefer to stay cozy and warm, so keep them in a spot where they won’t freeze!

For soil, think well-draining. A cactus or succulent mix with at least 30% perlite or pumice (your new best friends) will do the trick. Wondering when to water? Keep an eye on those pearls. If they start looking deflated and shriveled, and the soil is completely dry, they’re probably thirsty. Otherwise, they’re pretty low-key and will happily do their thing while you do yours. And put those misters away! These plants prefer not to get their pearls all soggy.

If you’re feeling ambitious, propagation is a breeze. Snip off a vine, lay it on top of the soil, and let those roots do their thing. But be gentle! The vines and roots are a little on the delicate side, so handle with care.

Good history of the court despite some bias
Format: Hardcover
This was a very interesting history of the court and a fairly good account of how it had changed as well as in other ways not changed over 2 centuries. In the final part regarding the current court, it is apparent that the author is not even handed regarding his analysis of the current justices and decisions, especially regarding anything involving President Trump. Overall, scholarly and well cited with much good analysis and explanation, at least through 80% or so of the book.

Even handed approach and approachable
Format: Kindle
The accolades provided by the book reviewers are accurate. This is accessible, non-partisan and shows a keen understanding of how our legal system has developed over the history of the US. As a practicing attorney, I found myself exclaiming over and again "wow, I didn't realize that!" throughout the read. I studied many of the cases he discusses in law school. I've read other books about the Supreme Court included Wm. Rhenquist's History of the Supreme Court and The Bretheren. Even though I was a serious student, I was enlightened by the author's telling of the story. Like a good history book, this is well-researched.

A must read at a good cost
Format: Hardcover
A recent release and should be read by everyone in order to understand the history on why we have a Supreme Court, why it is the most powerful in the world, its origins, why our founding fathers believed it was necessary and how it addressed significant events in our country's history; paperbound is the best and a good price for an depth analysis or such an important institution

You don't have to be a lawyer to read this
Format: Hardcover
I typically read my non-fiction books from cover to cover, but not this one. I'm using it as mainly a reference book. I thought the author might exhibit some 'left coast bias' but I was pleasantly surprised. Highly recommended.
