Sedeveria 'Jet Beads' is a compact succulent hybrid with dark, bead-like leaves and tidy branching habit. It is a cross between Sedum and Echeveria, combining the hardiness of the former with the structure of the latter. The plant produces slender, pointed leaves that grow densely along short stems, creating a rounded, slightly upright shape. In bright sunlight, the green foliage deepens into a rich bronze or nearly black tone, especially at the tips and uppermost leaves.
This hybrid usually grows 6 to 8 inches tall and wide, forming small clumps over time as new stems develop from the base. It can also trail lightly as stems elongate, especially in lower light. During spring or early summer, it may produce small yellow star-shaped flowers on short stalks, adding contrast to the dark foliage. While it’s often kept compact in pots, Jet Beads also performs well in ground plantings and rock gardens where it can spread naturally.
Thanks to its hardiness and manageable size, Sedeveria 'Jet Beads' works well in small containers, balcony pots, or borders where a darker-toned succulent is needed for visual contrast. Its tidy form makes it a low-effort option for arrangements with lighter or pastel-colored plants, and its slight trailing habit gives it some flexibility in mixed bowls or shallow hanging pots.
-
Prefers full sun to bright indirect light. Sunlight helps bring out the darkest leaf colors and keeps the plant compact.
Water only when the soil is fully dry, and avoid water collecting around the base. Water less frequently during the colder months.
Adapts well to dry indoor air. Avoid high humidity and poor ventilation.
Ideal range is 65–85°F. Protect from frost; avoid exposure to temperatures below 40°F.
Use a gritty, fast-draining mix suitable for succulents and cacti. Proper drainage prevents root rot.
Fertilize lightly during the growing season with a diluted, balanced formula. Do not feed during dormancy.
Non-toxic to pets and humans, but ingestion may cause allergic reaction, so keep it out of reach of kids and pets.

Pretty durable, ears not so much
Pretty good but chewed through the ears in just a few minutes. The body seems more durable. We have a goose/duck from this brand that has held up extremely well.

Another one bites the dust!!
Another one bites the dust. It looked like it was gonna be strong enough for our new puppy. We adopted a border collie who is about six months old. This was supposed to be durable. Lasted about a week. Might be good for older dogs. I wouldn’t recommend.

Too expensive
This dog toy did not hold up due to poor manufacturing in my opinion.

Good for a while
Pattern Name: Tug Rag
My GSD puppy, at 6 months made shredded leather out of this in a matter of weeks. Initially it was fine but if you spend more than an hour or two playing with your dog, chances are this toy will begin to tear.
