The plant has branched thin stems that are round and rod-shaped, covered with reddish-brown hairs. The thick leaves are oblanceolate and rosette-shaped, alternating with the upper branches, and the leaves at the base of the plant are often shed over many years of cultivation. The leaves are spreading (green) and the surface is densely covered with white (fine short hairs). In cool periods of full sun conditions, the leaf margins and the upper part of the leaves are dark red. Winter and early spring open its thick, succulent leaves are covered with fine, short white hairs. The top of the leaf margins are bright red.

Care Tips

Light: Echeverias need at least 4 to 5 hours of direct sunlight every day to stay healthy and looking good. If they don’t receive enough sunlight they’ll become leggy and elongated as they adapt and reach towards the closest source of light.

Succulents also lose their colors without enough sunlight. The combination of heat in the morning and the cold weather at night helps to bring out the deepest color of the plant. So keep your Echeveria’s original beautiful shape and color by displaying it in enough sunlight.

Water: Drought tolerant, keep the soil dry during the growing period, do not water too much, just slightly wet. Too much watering will cause the plant to grow and its beauty to decline, and if the ventilation is not good and the soil is excessively moist for a long time, the roots will easily rot. In summer, when the plant enters a short dormant period, water it once a month in small amounts, avoid letting the plant be washed by heavy rain, and moderate watering in winter to prevent root rot.

Soil: It prefers sandy soil with good drainage, which helps the roots to breathe smoothly and promote better root growth and development.

Potting: It is recommended to use ceramic pots. Ceramic pots have a certain degree of permeability. Clay pots lose water too quickly, plastic pots tend to retain water for too long and permeability is poor.

Temperature: Echeveria Devotion thrives in hot, dry conditions. For the most part, they do not tolerate cold temperatures or cold drafts well and too much humidity can lead to root rot. During the spring and summer months, your indoor Echeveria Devotion needs temperatures of between 65 and 80°F (18 – 27°C). During the winter, a few degrees lower will be ideal. Outdoors, this succulent loves warm summers of at least 19°C or 20°C.

Humidity: Echeveria Devotion grows well indoors in average room conditions with around 40% – 50% humidity.

    Care Instructions

Please visit our Succulent Care info page for more details.

To ensure the health of succulents, it is important to plant them in porous, well-draining soil. Succulents require little watering, but don't like to sit in wet soil. To create an adequate cactus mix, simply add pumice, perlite, or grit to cactus soil to provide the proper drainage.

Make sure to leave drought periods between waterings to prevent the plant from water-logging.

      Attractive and reliable
Very attractive color. Numbers are large enough to read. Honestly don’t know if watch is completely water resistant because have not had the opportunity to find out. Love that watch lights up!

      Wife loved it!
Great summer watch! Gave a gift. Wife loved it. Pretty band, nice face. Very reasonable price for what you get. Timex seldom disappoints.

      Easy to use/see
My eyesight is bad enough I cant use my cellphone at all without glasses. The clean display face and awesome backlight on this mean I can see the time any time of day or night without my glasses or a light. Super simple to use: Pull out the plastic protector on the crown Pull the crown out 1 click to set/back in when done Push on the crown for a REALLY good back light

      Almost the perfect watch
      Color: Black/Blue
I have owned three earlier models of these things going back to the days when I actually ran road races. They are brilliant pieces of work. My only complaint of them was that the start/stop/split button(s)--there were two on the older models--were too small. Well, apparently Timex listens and the two small buttons are now combined into one larger one. Probably this was done years ago but I'm only now getting back into road work, so now I get to discover it. The perfect watch? Almost. I especially like this model as my eyes are not what they used to be and the oversized face makes it easier to read. The downside to this is that it also makes the crystal easier to scratch. That's always been an issue, but I can live with it. No, the real problem with this product is, was, and apparently ever shall be, the band. Now, it could be worse, it could be a resin band (like the old ones) that will crack and break within a couple of years, but no, this is a nylon and velcro wrap style which should be just dandy, but for three glitches: 1. it's too short 2. it's too narrow (gee whiz, Timex designers, it's an oversized watch, why not a matching oversized band?) and 3. it's still resin where it attaches to the actual watch. Now, I imagine it's probably less prone to breakage in how it's implemented, but if you should choose to replace it, I can see no obvious way of removing it short of cutting it off. Really? But these are minor complaints. I doubt it would be comfortable on anyone whose wrists are much bigger than my own, but replacement bands are everywhere, and this watch will keep time with style and it's brilliant at splits. Heck, it even functions admirably as a backup for my expensive stopwatches at our regular short track stock car events. For my money (and did I mention the price is wonderful?) the Ironman is still the best at what it does, and for what it can do.

      Good hard use watch.
      Color: Black/Silver-Tone
Review Calibration: 3 stars means it works as advertised, nothing special during use, and no amazing features. Higher stars mean better-than-expected performance and features. This is 5 stars because it is my favorite work/hard-use watch. I have been wearing one for years, and like all Timex watches, it can take a beating. I have to replace it when the band's ears get so damaged that they won't hold the band on. This has more to do with the plastic's lifespan than with a design issue. I am hard on watches. This watch normally lasts ne 7-10 years between replacements.
