They are usually large and impressive plants. The name Philodendron comes from the Greek word "phileo" meaning "to love" and "dendron" meaning "tree".
Philodendron is listed among plants recognized for their air-purifying qualities and, moreover, it does not require special care. The 1989 NASA study identified philodendron as one of the best plants for removing formaldehyde and improving air quality.
The leaves can reach up to 65 cm in length.
