Hoya polyneura Outer Variegated is admired for its elegant, narrow leaves that feature a fishtail-like vein pattern. The leaf edges are adorned with a delicate white variegation. This plant produces clusters of star-shaped flowers with red and creamy yellow centers, each with a smooth, waxy texture and free of the fine hairs often present on other Hoyas. From spring through late summer, it blooms from spurs that emerge from the axils of the leaves and stems, forming umbels of 5 to 15 flowers over 2 to 3 weeks. The fragrance of these blooms is most intense in the early evening.
