The Philodendron Birkin is a striking indoor plant known for its creamy-white pinstriped variegation against deep green, glossy leaves. Its unique patterning becomes more defined as it matures, making each leaf feel like a living piece of art.
Compact, upright, and self-heading (it doesn’t vine), the Birkin adds elegance to desks, plant shelves, or side tables. It's low-maintenance and slow-growing—perfect for plant parents who love classy, structured greenery without the fuss.
🌱 Care Tips:
Light:
Prefers bright, indirect light. Too much direct sunlight can burn the leaves, while too little light may cause variegation to fade.
Water:
Allow the top 2–3 cm (1 inch) of soil to dry out before watering. Avoid overwatering—Birkin prefers slightly moist, not soggy, soil.
Humidity:
Enjoys moderate to high humidity. Mist occasionally or place near a humidifier, especially during winter.
Temperature:
Thrives in temperatures between 18°C to 26°C (65°F to 79°F). Keep away from cold drafts and heaters.
Soil:
Use a well-draining, airy potting mix. A mix of potting soil, perlite, and orchid bark is ideal for aeration and root health.
Fertiliser:
Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser at half strength. No fertiliser needed in winter.
