New leaves emerge in a striking, near-white to pale cream or mint-green coloration that can appear almost ghostly or translucent in the right light — hence the name — before gradually hardening off through pale green to the deep, glossy dark green of mature foliage. The deeply lobed, multi-fingered leaf shape is fully inherited from the parent lineage: broadly heart-shaped at the base with characteristic multiple lobes that give the leaves an almost hand-like silhouette, carried on the bristly, slightly hairy petioles typical of the squamiferum influence in this cross. A climbing erubescens-adjacent hybrid that produces progressively larger, more dramatically lobed leaves as it ascends.
