Our Isabella ceramic planter is named for Dr. Isabella Abbott (June 20, 1919 – October 28, 2010), an ethnobotanist from Hawaii whose work focused on marine algae research. Much of her research relied on collecting knowledge from native elders, which was unusual for university-level study.
The Isabella comes in a variety of bright, tropical colors. Each piece is handmade of food-grade porcelain ceramic and includes a drainage hole and a matching water saucer.
