Pearl weed is a semi-aquatic plant that used to be native to wetland areas from Virginia to New York. Pearl weed is a great plant at absorbing excess nutrients in the water column, and it grows rather quickly, especially when letting it grow vertically. It can be floated or planted into the substrate. We usually float Pearl Weed for a week or two to let it get some extra light before establishing it on the substrate, where it will propagate via runners or cuttings.
