Learn thread painting with me! This small pattern is the perfect project for learning how to use long and short stitch to create realistic embroidery art. The instructions include step-by-step descriptions and photos, but you can also follow along with the accompanying video tutorial on YouTube. 

The embroidery instructions include a color and stitch key with DMC floss numbers, step-by-step photos and instruction, and the Orange Lily design sized for a 3 inch (7.6 cm) hoop and a 5 inch (12.7cm) hoop, ready to trace for future project. Please resize as needed. The video link is included in the instructions but can also be found here.

The beginner guide includes a supplies list with suggested products based off of my experience, tips on how to get started, including pattern transfer suggestions for future projects, plus diagrams of stitches. The beginner guide can also be found online here plus you can find some additional tutorials here. 

If you are low on supplies you can find full kits here, plus transfer tools, scissors, hoops, needles, threads and fabric.

    Can't go wrong with Acorn for as long as they last!

    Acorn is just a great company all around. I had bought my husband these slippers over 20 years ago. They are still in great shape although the sole has worn in some places.
