MORNING GLORY PLANTING GUIDE:

Temperature: 70°F
Average Germ Time: 7 - 21 days
Light Required: No
Depth: 1/4 inch
Sowing Rate: 6 - 8 seeds per foot
Moisture: Keep seed moist until germination
Plant Spacing: Thin to 12 inches
  • Plant seeds outdoors after the last frost once the ground has warmed to about 64°F (18°C).
  • Or start the seeds indoors about 4-6 weeks before the last frost in your area.
  • Plant in moderately fertile, well-drained soil.
  • Choose a site that is sheltered from strong, drying winds.
  • Give them a fence, lattice, or trellis to climb.
  • Seeds can be slightly chipped and soaked in warm water for 24 hours before planting for better results. Or soak seed in a half water and half hydrogen peroxide 24 hours before planting.
  • Germination rates are improved by filing down the seeds just enough to break the coat, then soaking them for 24 hours before planting. This encourages them to send out a root (it looks like a little worm).
  • Cover lightly with ¼-inch of soil. Space seeds about 6 inches apart.
  • Water thoroughly at planting.
  • Seedlings should appear in about 7-21 days.

Be careful as Morning glories have a tendency to heavily reseed if the seed pods are not removed after flowering. For best results only allow a select number of pods to ripen that you plan to harvest for seed.

Please note: The Arizona Department of Agriculture prohibits the sale of any plant in the genus of Ipomoea, which includes Morning Glory flower.

If you live in Arizona, please do not buy Morning Glory seeds.

Works for Sherpa, and heavy rugs
This worked on my 2 Sherpa jackets and a heavy furred rug. I tested it on my old Sherpa jacket that had the furs pretty much flat after years. I used this on it which took about 3 hrs to do and it feels brand new. I was so shocked that I used it on my old rug that had about an inch length in fur. The fur was all tangled so it had little stalks sticking out. After about 6-7 hrs, the rug was straight up rejuvenated felt brand new. I’m was very pleased with this product. Now, the real question is it worth it? I’ll just tell my opinion from my experience and let you decide for yourself. The product itself feels sturdy with a wooden base. It’s around 6 and a half inches so not very big. (This is one of the reasons why the rug too so long.)The metal brushed was surprisingly durable. I was applying a good amount of force when combing my rug and there were no bending. For 14 dollars and some elbow grease, I got two new jackets and a rug. The brush didn’t break so I can just keep using this to maintain. In my books, I got my moneys worth.

It Works!
A small size but fits my hand and really does the job well. I have two sherpa blankets that the fibers are matted down from the dryer (should have air dryed) and this brush glides through the fibers, does require some effort but well worth it as I get instant results of the before and after. So far, brush is intact and handling the job, one larger and one smaller blanket to go and both sides. Very happy with purchase!

LL Bean slippers
Larger than it looks, but still small enough to fit into my LL Bean Wicked Good Slippers. Let's me comb out the shearling to keep it soft and pretty.

Good.
Works perfect to brush sheepskin. However it's a bit difficult to remove the fluff without hurting your fingers.
