Chlorophytum orchidastrum 'Green Orange' , also known as the orchid plant or orange spider plant, is a unique and spectacular houseplant. It is distinguished by its glossy dark green leaves that form a beautiful rosette, contrasting sharply with the bright orange stems and central veins. This color combination creates a striking visual impact, making this plant an excellent choice for adding a vibrant splash of color to your home.

Origin: Native to the tropical regions of West Africa, Chlorophytum orchidastrum 'Green Orange' belongs to a family of plants known for their tolerance of varied growing conditions, making them very popular as houseplants.

Growth: This plant grows relatively quickly. It can reach about 30 to 45 cm in height, with long, elegant leaves that spread out to form a dense rosette. The contrast between the dark green of the leaves and the bright orange of the stems and veins makes it a centerpiece in any setting.

Flowers: Chlorophytum orchidastrum 'Green Orange' can produce small white flowers on flower spikes, but they are generally inconspicuous and infrequent indoors. Flowers are not the main attraction of this plant, which is mainly grown for its colorful foliage.

Light: This plant prefers bright, indirect light. It can tolerate lower light conditions, but moderate to high light helps maintain the vibrant colors of its stems and veins. Direct sunlight, especially during the hottest hours, should be avoided to prevent leaf burn.

Watering: Water regularly to keep the substrate slightly moist. It is important not to let the soil dry out completely, but also to avoid overwatering. In winter, reduce watering slightly while ensuring that the soil remains moderately moist.

Substrate: A well-draining substrate is essential for Chlorophytum orchidastrum 'Green Orange'. A standard houseplant potting mix mixed with perlite ensures good drainage and prevents root rot problems.

Toxicity: Chlorophytum orchidastrum 'Green Orange' is non-toxic to pets and humans, making it a safe choice for homes with pets or children.

democracy in action or am I allowed to vote
Format: Paperback
This is a superb document on the history of voting rights in America from its founding to 2000. Well worth reading about the struggles of Americans to get the vote. The discussion of suffrage for all Americans. How those that had the vote trying to prevent other people from getting the vote. We struggle with this today, given that President Drumpf is more than willing to disregard the majority of American voters. Our democracy beware and here is the history.

Incredibly well researched
Format: Paperback
Purchased in light of the current election fraud/security debates. I learned nothing so far is new. Data intensive. Can be dry at times, though many of the quotes from historical figures are revealing as to prevailing attitudes.

Excellent and thorough
This must be the definitive history of voting in America. I hold back from giving it five stars because it was a little more than what I was looking for, but this is as thorough as I have ever come across. Also, I love charts and graphs, and he has a great array of tables at the end. Interesting tidbit was the role war played throughout American history in expanding the right to vote. Also, though we all know how the right to vote gradually expanded, but what many of us didn't realize was how the right to vote actually shrunk at various points in American history. That is, some people who had the right to vote had it taken away at various moments in American history. When all is said and done, this is a great book.

read!
Format: Kindle
I had to read this book for a political theory class, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Keysarr did a great job of researching and writing it. It was not as dry as some of the other, similar books I've read. I would definitely recommend this one, even if it's not for a class.
