The "Zebrina" cultivar of the Spider Plant (Chlorophytum comosum var. variegatum), sometimes mistakenly classified under "Chlorophytum laxum", stands out with its slightly broader, shorter leaves accented by a pronounced green stripe down the centre. This adaptable plant can be showcased in pots, hanging baskets, indoors or directly in the ground. Those planting "Zebrina" in-ground with sandy conditions should enhance their soil with a conditioner for optimal growth. While it favours indirect sunlight, its need for water rises in the warmer seasons. A touch of general-purpose fertiliser in Djilba (early spring) is recommended, and occasional pruning helps it maintain its form and vibrancy.
