Flowering steadily all summer long, they harmonize with all of summer’s flowers, including Agastache, Monarda, Gaura, and wildflowers. Excellent cut flowers – the more you cut, the more it blooms. Dahlias need a full sun location in compost enriched, well-drained soil. They are heavy feeders so before planting add an organic fertilizer to the soil as well. It is hardy in zones 8-10; grow as an annual in cooler zones or dig and store tubers over the winter to re-plant in spring.
