  • Gerbera Daisy (Gerbera jamesonii) is a cheerful and vibrant flowering plant loved for its large, daisy-like blooms and bold range of colors. Native to South Africa, this popular plant features striking flowers in shades of red, pink, orange, yellow, and white, all centered around a contrasting dark or yellow eye. Its neat rosette of green leaves provides a fresh, tidy base that complements the bright blooms beautifully.

The flowers are the standout feature—large, symmetrical, and long-lasting, making them ideal not only for garden displays but also for indoor décor and cut flower arrangements. Each bloom sits on a sturdy stem, rising above the foliage to create a clean and elegant look.

Gerbera Daisy is prized for its vibrant, uplifting blooms and versatility. Whether used to brighten indoor spaces, decorate patios, or enhance garden beds, its wide range of colors and long-lasting flowers make it a favorite among gardeners and plant lovers alike. Easy to grow and visually striking, it brings instant joy and color to any setting.

  • Prefers full sun to bright light. Indoors, place in a bright spot with plenty of indirect sunlight.

Water when the top layer of soil feels dry. Keep soil evenly moist but avoid overwatering.

Use well-draining soil to prevent root rot; a light, airy mix is ideal.

Thrives in temperatures between 60–75°F (16–24°C); protect from frost and extreme heat

Tolerates average humidity; good airflow is beneficial.

Moderate to fast growth under ideal conditions

A book every teacher/parent should read!
Format: Hardcover
I LOVE this book because the "bad seed" reminds me of my son. I don't believe there are any "bad kids" in the world but I'm sure kids look at themselves as bad if that is all they ever hear. I love how this story gives a sympathetic backstory on how he got "so bad" and how he is trying to do better and change his bad ways. Even though my son isn't perfect, he sure does try to do good and his behavior improves when people notice the POSITIVE instead of the negative. I absolutely love the last lines of the book where the other seeds are gossiping (another lesson) saying, "Hey! There goes that bad seed," and another seed sticks up for him and says, "Actually, he isn't that bad anymore." Then the "bad seed" turns around with a smile on his face and says, "I heard that." Moral of the story.....children are always listening. Focus on the positive rather than the negative and a child's self-talk and behavior will drastically improve. My son's 2nd grade year was so negative and he was always getting into trouble. I rarely heard the good and neither did my son. His 3rd grade year was amazing. The teacher really focuses on pointing out his good choices and what a difference that made in my son's attitude toward school. Thank you Jory John for writing this book. I also love the book, "I Love You Already" which teaches readers about friendship, love, patience, loyalty and forgiveness. :)

Such a great message! I read this during the first or second week of school in KG to show students that good/bad behavior is all about the choices they are making. Love it!
