Asiatic lilies are known for their reliable nature and extended blooming season, making them a favorite of gardeners. The upward-facing flowers have prominent, pollen-covered anthers that attract bees and butterflies, which add lively movement to your garden. These lilies also make exceptional cut flowers, adding elegance and drama to floral arrangements. When harvesting the blooms, leave at least two-thirds of the stem and foliage intact, this allows the bulbs to store energy for the following year's growth and flowering.

To plant your Asiatic lily bulbs, space them 6 to 8 inches apart and 6 to 8 inches deep. These lilies thrive in sunny spots where they can enjoy at least 6 to 8 hours of sunlight each day, but they prefer their roots to remain cool, so consider mulching to maintain soil temperature. They perform best in well-draining soils with a slightly acidic pH. With proper winter mulching, Asiatic lilies are hardy to Zone 3, ensuring they can withstand even harsh winter conditions.
Asiatic lilies are low-maintenance and rewarding, requiring just a bit of care to keep them thriving. Feed them with Espoma Organic® Bulb-tone® Bulb and Flower Food in the spring as growth begins, and be sure to allow the foliage to die back naturally before removing it.
