Peace lilies (Spathiphyllum), with their wonderful dark green crown of leaves and tall stems of pure white spathes and flowers are one of the best house plants for purifying the air within your home. What's not to love?

Peace lilies prefer a warm, draught free position and will be happy in indirect light to shade. However, if they aren't flowering it might be an indicator that they aren't getting enough light, so move them a little closer to a window. 

A common mistake with Peace lilies is to over water them. You want them to dry out a little between waterings, so feel the soil – if it feels dry give it a drink. 

They don't require much by way of fertilising at all, feeding your plant twice a year with a good liquid fertiliser will be sufficient. If the white spathes surrounding the flower spike appear green, this is a sign that you are feeding the plant too much and you need to reduce the amount of feed by half.
