This basic low-nutrient potting mix is formulated for carnivorous plants like Venus flytraps, pitcher plants, sundews, and some bladderworts. Made from fine peat moss and fine perlite with no added fertilizers or minerals. Naturally acidic, well-draining, and prevents nutrient burns.

Packed dry for easy handling - it will reduce slightly in volume once hydrated. Moisten the substrate before potting, as dry peat is naturally hydrophobic. For best results, water only with distilled water, reverse osmosis water, or clean rainwater, and keep the substrate consistently moist without becoming soggy.

This product is packaged in reclosable recyclable #4 plastic bags, and to help reduce waste, we may reuse clean shipping materials whenever possible.
