But when this happens, the more typical variegated pattern usually comes back in a leaf or 2 and in the worst case can be cut back to stimulate it.

Technically, deliciosa is a synonym for borsigiana so this variety should be labeled as Monstera deliciosa var. albo-variegata; however, it's also commonplace to refer to this variety as Monstera borsigiana albo, Monstera albo or small form Monstera albo.

Like most Monstera, this variety prefers moist but well-draining soil and some humidity. As it climbs, it should be staked or allowed to climb up moss poles. In higher humidity environments, numerous aerial roots will form which gives the plants a beautiful look.
