About Echeveria 'German Champagne'

While many hybrids in the Champagne family are known for their pastels, the 'German Champagne' is famous for its "Sugar Heart." It features a classic rosette of thick, fleshy, spatulate leaves with a distinctive Agavoides influence—giving them a pointed, almost crystalline structure.

The base color is a sophisticated silvery-green to pale yellow, protected by a fine, velvety layer of glaucous farina. When stressed by cool temperatures and bright light, the center of the rosette transforms into a deep, glowing ruby-red or magenta. This "bleeding heart" effect, combined with the dark, geometric patterns etched into the farina, makes it one of the most sought-after succulents for professional galleries.

How to Care for Echeveria 'German Champagne'

Sun/Location: To maintain its tight form and unlock the deep red sugar heart, this variety needs 6–8 hours of bright, direct sunlight. It thrives in full sun during the spring and fall. Indoors, it should be placed in your brightest south-facing window. If the heart begins to turn green, it is a signal that the plant requires more light intensity.

Soil/Pot: Drainage is non-negotiable for this high-end hybrid. Use a professional-grade gritty mix (we recommend a 70% mineral ratio using pumice, lava rock, and coarse sand). To protect the roots and allow for maximum evaporation, an unglazed terracotta or breathable ceramic pot is highly recommended.

Watering: This variety is more sensitive to moisture than standard Echeverias. Use the "soak and dry" method, but error on the side of underwatering. Only water when the soil is bone-dry and the bottom leaves feel slightly soft to the touch. Always bottom water or use a precision spout to keep the rosette dry; water trapped in the heart can cause "melting" or smudge the intricate farina patterns.

Propagation: Like most rare Echeverias, it can be propagated through leaf cuttings, though it requires patience due to its slow growth rate. Ensure a clean break from the stem and allow the leaf to callus for 3–5 days before placing it on dry soil. It will also occasionally produce offsets (pups) at the base, which can be separated once they reach about one-third the size of the parent plant.

Just Right! Made in the Ukraine!
Material Type: 157mil Closed Cell Foam, Style: 157 mil 36 SqFt, Material Type: 157mil Closed Cell Foam, Style: 157 mil 36 SqFt
Great product! I doubled this up with Siless Sound Dampening material as well. I did a double layer of this insulation on the ceiling (same as in your home, more insulation up top) and single throughout the rest of the car, in my effort to turn my CUV into an interior camper for winter snow storm chasing! Looks great, easy to install, and I got to support the Ukraine! (I was leaning towards Kilmat products but they are made in the Russian Federation... with everything going on right now, it was a no brainer) Only downsides is (1) that you need to be really careful while handling it, because the stickiness WILL stick, (to your fingers) and if you handle it too much, you will pull some of that off. As long as you are careful there, you will be ok. (I personally cut the pieces to size/ smaller the better for tight spaces/ putting up behind other lines/hoses in the car... and then for the 2nd layer, I made sure I overlapped the seams so that there was no gap where the heat would escape through). Second Downside (2) is that I need a little bit more, but not a whole roll more worth... 50 sq ft would be better for what I needed it for, but whatever - I am being nitpicky at this point. Overall, Great Product/Looks Great/ I HIGHLY Recommend!

Works
Material Type: 157mil Closed Cell Foam, Style: 157 mil 36 SqFt
We used it on the inside of a jeep hard top. So far no complaints. The glue sticks. We were worried about the 110° temps and so far so good

High quality, super sticky, very effective
Style: 30 sqft
As long as the surface is thoroughly cleaned, these mats will stick to just about anything. They provide my car with a tremendous amount of sound dampening and have made riding in the car 10 times more enjoyable. I drive a Toyota Yaris and although the engine is built like it's meant to last forever (imagine that), the rest of the car is not of high quality. Which means we used to get A LOT of noise coming from the road, other cars, etc. After I installed these mats which, by the way, I wasn't able to install on every surface I wanted to install them on (due to lack of tools to be able to disassemble certain parts of the interior), the noise coming from outside the car is nearly completely gone. I covered the underside of my hood, the entire interior part of the hatchback, most of the floor in the trunk / spare tire well, and the entire interior side of the doors. The parts I couldn't get to (or didn't want to) were: the ceiling, underneath the driver & passenger seats, behind the dash and the floor for the 2nd row seating. As you can see I left a lot of surfaces untreated with this product AND STILL it blocks most of the sound. To note: people recommended getting the roller tools to help install these mats. I got a few of them in different sizes and they worked O K. Not because of the quality of the tool but because some places you need to install these mats in don't have enough clearance to use the tool. That being said, for the larger surfaces, the roller tools help a lot. Also I found it very beneficial to use aluminum tape while installing these. The tape I used is specifically designed for materials that undergo high temperature changes (like your dryer vents, etc.). This wasn't because the mats were not sticky enough but because there were some places I installed the mats with small gaps between them. I'd also recommend getting some kind of fluffy insulation-type material for large spaces that need noise dampening. Rock wool, for example, worked great for me. As an example, the interior sides of the 2nd row seating walls had large spaces between the plastic interior cover and the metal part of the car wall. I'd install the mats on the metal but was left with 6" - 7" of space between it and the plastic cover. I chose to fill those spots (and spots like it) with insulation which provided EVEN MORE noise dampening.

Best butyl out there.
Style: 30 sqft
If you want the money you're spending on equipment to pay off, you NEED to deaden sound! I've used every major brand and siless is my favorite to work with and the best value for your money, I'm not just adding weight, it's a thermal barrier and reduce outside noise. I turned a 10 year old, base model civic into what feels like a top tier Lexus . Does not offgas, no smell. Super easy to install. Make sure you get a set of rollers! They're required to achieve the advantages of this stuff, it MUST be adhered well and you don't want to tear the interior out twice.
