It produces periwinkle trumpet shaped flowers and is well loved by the landscaping community. This perennial dies back in our region over the winter, but typically reemerges without any issue in the spring. Once established it prefers full sun, but will tolerate some shade as well. When properly fertilized, agapanthus will bloom from late spring to early autumn. Agapanthus is recommended for Zones 8 11.
