Rooted cuttings can be grown like any other spring transplant. They should to be planted, watered, and cared for as needed. Rooted cuttings will bloom 1-2 weeks sooner than tuber grown dahlias. Rooted cuttings will develop roots and tubers that can be dug and planted the following year.

There is no guarantee on success rate. Success is dependent on how well you, the grower, care for your transplants.

A Note on Dahlia Virus: There are viruses that are endemic to Dahlias that may or may not present symptomatically. We do not test for virus in our plants for this reason. We visually inspect our plants during the growing season, and cull any underperforming plants or plants showing any visible irregularities. Our mother tuber stock meets our standards for cut flower production on our farm.
