Please find for sale 10+ seeds for Beschorneria Yuccoides, better known as the Mexican Lily. This striking evergreen perennial forms a very architectural focus of any planting scheme. Its long strap like, succulent leaves are grey green in colour and covered in a white bloom. When they flower, the spike can vary in colour from pale pink to bright red, with yellow tubular flowers opening up to four feet tall.
As it originates from Mexico, this plant is not fully hardy in the UK - it is best gorwn in pots or troughs and brought into the greenhouse over the winter. The key to growing these in the UK is sharp drainage to replicate their homeland, and not planting them out when they are too small.

Germination Guide
Sow in an unheated greenhouse to allow natural germination or:
- Soak seeds for 24 hours in tepid water
- Prepare a seeds tray of sieved, well-draining soil mix - ideally 50/50 good quality compost and vermiculite or horticultural sand.
- Potting mix should be moist but not wet
- Sow the seeds individually on the surface and gently press onto soil to ensure a good contact.
- Cover seeds with a thin layer (2 to 3mm) of the sieved compost mix
- Keep seeds tray at around 15-21c i.e. normal indoor UK temperatures
- Seedlings should appear in 4-6 weeks.
- Ensure compost is kept moist but not wet - nest to place seed tray inside a waterproof tray and water from the bottom. The surface can also be misted if drying out
- Pot on as required
