The 'Lavranos' variety is prized for its concentric, stacking leaves that grow in a tight rosette or fan shape. The foliage is incredibly rigid and features subtle horizontal banding and reddish-brown margins. Its miniature size makes it an ideal "desk plant" that provides a high-end, designer aesthetic without taking up much space.
Native to the arid regions of East Africa (specifically Somalia and Yemen).
While rare indoors, a mature Lavranos can produce a flower spike. The flowers are typically greenish-white or cream-colored and are surprisingly fragrant, often releasing a sweet scent at night.
-
Thrives in bright, indirect light but is famous for its ability to tolerate low light conditions. Avoid prolonged direct afternoon sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Extremely drought-tolerant. Water only when the soil is completely dry. In winter, reduce watering to once every few weeks. Rule of thumb: When in doubt, don't water.
Requires a well-draining succulent or cactus mix. It is prone to root rot if left in standing water or heavy, moisture-retaining soil.
Prefers warm environments between 65°F and 85°F (18°C–29°C). It does not like the cold; ensure it stays away from drafty windows or temperatures below 50°F.
This plant should be fertilized once during the growing season (spring/summer) with diluted houseplant fertilizer.
Toxic to pets. Contains saponins which can cause nausea or vomiting if ingested by cats or dogs.
-
Zones 9-11 (primarily grown indoors in cooler climates).

Awesome price for quality balls
Color: Four colors, Size: 5cm (ball only)
These balls are super bouncy and durable. My dog loves them and for the price these are totally worth it! I think they are as durable as nerf balls and equal in size, and much cheaper!

Rope comes out at the slightest force. Pointless tug toy!
Color: Four colors, Size: 6cm (with rope)
If your dog pulls on these (and why wouldn’t he?), the rope immediately comes out. Turns out they just fuse the ends of the nylon rope together, which is no match for a dog playing tug. Any dog, any level of pulling will dismantle these.
We’ve managed to reinsert the rope to a couple of these and KNOT it, which gives you a shorter rope but a toy that can withstand some play. But if I had wanted a DIY toy, I’d have used the balls and rope I already own.
