One night after work, Sulley discovers that someone left a door opened, and while he inspects it, a small girl passes by the portal in her closet and enters the factory. Before being able to return the girl to her room, the villain Randall sends her door back to the warehouse. Since the world of monsters believe that children are toxic, Sulley and Mike must return the girl they have named Boo home before anyone finds her out. Released in 2001, Monsters, Inc. was the fourth feature film produced by Pixar Animation Studios, and its prequel, Monsters University, released in 2013, set in Mike and Sulley college years, tells the story of how they both became friends and got their jobs.
