Easiest set up ever
Configuration: Fire TV Stick 4K Plus
I was one of those people who thought “I already have a smart TV, why would I ever need a firestick”. Boy was I wrong. If you’ve used these Smart TV UIs you know they can be notoriously laggy. This is a major upgrade visually and performance wise. Super easy to set up, and this is able to stream from Steam PC!

Super easy to set up and works really well. The streaming quality is great and the remote responds fast. I use it every day now for Netflix and YouTube with no issues.

Before Fire TV, I was an old TV Curmedgeon
Configuration: Fire TV Stick 4K Plus
I have a Samsung Smart TV. I stream with You Tube TV. I watch Sox on the MLB app. I'm worried about getting into heaven because of all my swearing at technology. Samsung made me sign in once or twice a week, a huge task for an 84 year old using a remote clicker. YouTube TV has been nothing but a technology headache. And for an old man, I'm pretty hip with tech. Then there's my chair side JBL speaker which would often not connect. I'd have to restart my TV or re-pair it. The whole ball of wax drove me to up my IPA consumption and made me into a potty mouth. Then I got the Fire TV Stick. It's early on but it does seem to be an absolute game changer. Very user friendly. I got the HDMI USB power module and have also plugged direct into an outlet. Either is good. Right now, I'm using HDMI #3 to power my TV. Had to charge it overnight but all works well. All the technology fussing is over. No more having to sign in. No more problems navigating between live and recorded TV or to MOB and back. I'm very happy. Thank you Amazon. I think St. Pete might now let me in. Not too soon, I hope.

Excellent quality
Configuration: Fire TV Stick 4K Plus
Absolutely fantastic. Fired right up fast and eady to set up. I just love the fire sticks and they save a huge amount of money from cable. I can watch pretty much anything I want. Great clear screen and sound, plus remote is updated. Im very happy!

Great Streamer, But Remote Needs Work
I’ve been using the Firestick 4K for a while now and overall, I'm quite pleased with its performance and ease of use. The setup was a breeze, and I really appreciate the consistent user interface it provides across all my TVs, which is especially helpful for my wife. However, I have a serious issue with the remote. It feels cheap and flimsy, and honestly, the removal of the IR Blaster is baffling. I don't understand how this design made it to market, as it complicates setup for those of us with soundbars or surround systems that connect via optical cables.
Additionally, the dedicated app buttons are a real annoyance. I often find myself accidentally launching other apps instead of streaming my preferred content on YouTube TV. I wish there were an option to disable them or even assign them to apps I actually use. If you're considering this device and can find it on sale for about $25, it's worth it for the streaming capabilities, but be prepared to navigate a frustrating remote experience.
