Beccariophoenix alfredii occurs in the High Plateau of Madagascar at approximately 20 degrees south. The palm is found at an elevation of 1,050 meters (3,440 feet) growing along the sandy riverbeds. The surrounding vegetation is mainly composed of various grasses, and the area sees occasional fires. Due to the environment that B. alfredii is subjected to, it is hardy against frost and cold, fire, drought, full sun, and possibly hurricanes. This recently discovered, new Beccariophoenix originates in a humid valley west of Antsirabe on the high plateau of Madagascar, at an elevation of abt. 1000 m, where the temperatures are comparatively cool throughout the year and can drop below freezing at night in winter, making it ideal for warm temperate areas with no more than moderate freezes. The plant is quite distinct from Beccariophoenix madagascariensis. Beccariophoenix alfredii is a fairly large palm quite similar to a coconut palm and a perfect replacement for that in cooler climates where the coconut can not survive the winters. One of the best new introductions from Madagascar. Very popular and sought after because of its better cold tolerance. Due to its overall hardiness, B. alfredii is a good candidate for cultivation in central and southern Florida, California and also locations such as Sydney Australia, Southern Spain, Portugal and Northern New Zealand. Comfortable, Simple, Reliable

This is a phenomenal product, and exactly what I wanted. I used to have wrist pain while gaming; I bought this, and then completely forgot that I used to get wrist pain while gaming.
The foam is firm, but comfortable; it’s very supportive, but also flat and consistent. It’s cool, so my wrist never gets sweaty or hot just from using the wrist rest. Its rubberized bottom prevents it from moving at all while gaming. I’ve used it for about a year, and the foam has no indentation at all; in fact, there’s not noticeable wear of any kind.
My one complaint, that I’ve seen in other reviews as well, is that the fabric skin of the wrist rest isn’t quite fit over the foam: there’s some extra material, and it can wrinkle slightly.
Overall, I’m quite satisfied with the product! It’s completely eliminated my wrist pain, and I’ve gotten a year of use out of it with no problems so far. I’d say that’s more than worth the fair price, and I would buy it again without hesitation!

Very High Quality Memory Gel Foam

Firmness is pretty solid, this material is high quality. This isn't that kind of foam that will start loosing it's shape after a year or two, this is a firm gel like substance and it's pretty comfortable.
The color is black as I expected, it's shape is rectangle just like in the pictures, it's appearance is as described.
The only think is that they do use a polyester cover, which does appear as though it may wrinkle over time, and it will likely not outlast the Gel Foam inside. Like I said though the Gel Foam is legit Gel Foam, I have heard these claims before only to find out that it's something far cheaper, that's not this.

Awesome

If you spend more than a few hours a day at your keyboard, stop what you’re doing and buy this wrist rest immediately. I was starting to feel serious strain after long typing sessions, and this simple accessory has completely eliminated the discomfort. It’s a true game changer for desk ergonomics.
The material quality is phenomenal. The memory foam (or gel) is perfectly supportive—it’s soft enough to cushion my wrists but firm enough that it doesn't flatten out or lose its shape, even after weeks of heavy use. The non-slip base is also fantastic, keeping it anchored exactly where I need it, no matter how intense my typing or gaming gets.
