Dragon Plant has sword-like leaves that are deep green with red borders and multi-stem growth. These tall indoor plants prefer evenly saturated soil that is not overly moist or allowed to dry.
When placed indoors, this clean-air plant will remove chemicals such as formaldehyde, benzene, trichloroethylene, and carbon monoxide. Dracaena prefers temperatures between 70° to 80°F so lightly shaded patios, porches, pool decks, and sunrooms are ideal for this tropical indoor plant.
Ideal care for these fun little indoor trees includes bright indirect light conditions and watering when the soil is dry. Your Dragon Tree would also appreciate a well-draining potting mix and the application of a well-balanced fertilizer in the growing months of spring and summer.
The dark green leaves of Dragon Trees are slender and arc slightly, creating a very graceful form. Additionally, these plants are fairly slow growing so they will not quickly overwhelm a space.
