Peperomia columella is commonly known as columnar peperomia. A native of Peru and belonging to the Piperaceae family, this houseplant has snake-like shoots. The leaves are green & fleshy and look like a horseshoe. The foliage almost hides the stems of the succulent. In its initial years, the plant grows upright but later starts to curl like a pendant with a total length of 8 inches. The flowers bloom in spring but that’s quite occasional. The light green blooms are as peculiar as they are tail-like. This winter-dormant plant is slow-growing and requires filtered sunlight for happy growth.

Growth Rate
This peperomia is a slow-growing plant.

Flowering
The plant occasionally flowers in spring. The flowers are light-green and tail-like in appearance.

Watering and Feeding
One essential thing about Peperomia columella care is that it loves moist soil but cannot tolerate overwatering. It requires deep watering and the overhead watering method works the best for this succulent.

Soil
The succulent prefers well-draining soil. Use a cactus potting mix, perlite, charcoal, mulch, moss, and humus.

Hardiness
The hardiness zone of this peperomia is 10a to 11b. It is not frost-hardy. The ideal temperature range is 30° to 50°F (-1.1° to 10°C).

Light
This houseplant can tolerate bright sun. Ensure it is placed at a spot where it gets filtered sunlight.

Propagation
The best way of Peperomia columella propagation is through stem cuttings.

Peperomia columella, in its native place, grows on cliffs. Due to its small size and delicate leaves, it makes for a wonderful ornamental plant kept on office desks or in dish gardens.

Actually Durable
Color: B) Medium 3" Ball
One of the few "heavy duty" toys that my pittie hasn't destroyed after a couple of weeks. Most of them last two days. She's an absolute beast so I'm confident if she can't destroy it, few dogs can.

Not for aggressive chewers!
Color: H) Infinity Ring, Color: H) Infinity Ring
Not for aggressive chewers! Done for in about two minutes. I unboxed this and tugged with my Mal for a but then let her have it. Within minutes she had chewed through it. Not worth the money.

Not Quite So Durable...
Color: B) Medium 3" Ball, Color: B) Medium 3" Ball
Maybe I have a SUPER aggressive chewer...he went through this ball in under a week. I originally bought the ball because of a review that stated the owner's Pitbull had the same ball for two years; not so much for my Rottweiler. He started chewing off and swallowing small crumbs from the ball within a day or two. By the end of the week, it was chunks so I had to toss it in the trash to prevent an intestinal obstruction. On the up side, my Rottweiler LOVED the ball while it lasted. However, I can't, in good conscience, give this ball a rave review based on this experience. Please take this review with a grain of salt as I have yet to find ANY toy that my boy won't DESTROY in a week or two. I hope that someone finds this informative when searching for chew toys for SUPER aggressive chewers like mine.
