Description: Aeonium 'Medusa' is extraordinary! With deep mahogany coloured leaves and an almost black centre this is one of the darkest variegated Aeoniums.

Plants are strong growing and will quickly form a neat plant with multiple offsets. The darkest colours will developing at the end of spring and summer or when stressed.

Plant Care: Grow in good light to bring out deep black and red colours.  Avoid the very hot afternoon sun or the plants may burn. 

Origins: Unfortunately there is not a lot of information to be found for 'Medusa' but it is believed to have originated in the Netherlands before being grown and wildly distributed from Asia. There are similarities to both 'Mardi Gras' and 'Velour' particularly in how the rosettes develop and the overall shape on the plants, but so far this is only speculation.
