Best for These Animals: Frogs and other small reptiles and amphibians, especially arboreal (tree-dwelling) species

Bio Dude Substrates: TerraFlora, TerraFauna, TerraFirma (depending on the species selected).

Soil Depth: All soil depths, with proper drainage.

Lighting: All light levels (depending on the species selected).

Humidity & Misting: 40%-100%, with higher levels suggested for optimal growth.

Mature Plant Size & Root System: Ferns selected will range from 6"-12" tall at time of shipping, and may grow to a foot or more in width and height over time.  Ferns can be selectively pruned to control size.

Temperature Tolerance & Placement in the Terrarium: Too high temperatures/low humidity may cause leaves to brown.  Ferns are best used as groundcover or underplantings, or mounted (in high humidity environments).

Edible & Side Effects if Ingested: Will depend of species selected, but generally most ferns are non-toxic.
