Anthurium Crystallinum x Silver Blush is a hybrid that combines the bold venation and velvety texture of Anthurium crystallinum with the shimmering silver highlights of the ‘Silver Blush’ form. The result is a compact, collector-grade plant with heart-shaped leaves that display both strong white venation and a metallic silver overlay. This hybrid is prized for its manageable size, striking contrast, and adaptability, making it a standout choice for enthusiasts who want the drama of velvet-leaf Anthuriums in a smaller footprint.

Care Guide

  • Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Avoid direct sun which can fade or burn foliage.
  • Water: Keep soil evenly moist but allow the top layer to dry slightly between waterings.
  • Humidity: Requires high humidity (70%+). Benefits from humidifiers or enclosed growing environments.
  • Temperature: Thrives between 65–80°F. Protect from cold drafts and sudden temperature drops.
  • Soil: Use a chunky, well-draining mix with orchid bark, perlite, and sphagnum moss.
  • Fertilizer: Feed monthly during active growth with a balanced liquid fertilizer.
  • Growth Habit: Compact, self-heading plant with rounded, velvety leaves and pronounced silver venation.
  • Toxicity: Not safe for pets if ingested.

Key Notes

This hybrid is especially valued for its collector appeal, combining the classic crystallinum look with the shimmering silver blush effect. Its compact growth habit makes it ideal for terrariums, shelving displays, or as a highlight in mixed collections.

I Hate This Book, BUT You HAVE to Purchase It....Unfortunately
Format: Spiral-bound
It's not that I really hate this book, I more hate the organizations that produces this book. First, I'm assuming this has not been done, but the editors of all the "prestigious" law reviews who write and edit this book need to get their act together and hire a professional company to rework the appendix and table of contents to be more helpful! The information is surely in the book, but it's unnecessarily overly difficult to find the information you're looking for. The Blue Book(tm) indeed has a monopoly on the legal citation market, which is why you MUST purchase it (unless you'd prefer to look like a moron when you submit your documents to the court only to have them sent back because nothing was cited properly...you don't want to be known as "that attorney"). Ok, I'm amending my complaint/review. The book is not too bad once you spend around 100 hours with it. After that, you'll get the hang of it and the book is not that bad. Although, I still stand behind my last review recommending that the editors provide a better table of contents and index.

It’s a Bluebook!
Format: Spiral-bound
What can I say about the Bluebook...I hate it because it means I’m working my butt off if I’m using it. It’s a necessary evil, and there’s no competition for legal writing! It arrived new, shrink wrapped, and in great condition.

Gift for a rising 1L
I wanted to provide a graduating undergraduate mentee with practical resources for law school as a graduation gift. I ordered this and Barron's Law Dictionary: Mass Market Edition. While she hasn't yet used either book, as a law professor, I am confident she will get good use out of both. This is a law school staple. You cannot lose in buying it for a new law student.
