These 30cm Box hedge plants are an effective way to create Box hedging at a reasonable size to give an instant border around existing beds. These plants are container grown so come with potfuls of established roots ready to plant out in the garden.

Common Box (Buxus sempervirens) is an extremely popular hedging plant for creating small hedges and clips extremely well. If grown as individual plants they are highly popular plants to use for topiary (see our topiary page).

A Buxus hedge is evergreen and produces a mass of small green leaves and grows well in many situations. It produces a thick hedge suitable for garden borders and for demarcating separate parts of gardens. Box will often be found in many formal gardens as it clips well and retains its shape.

Box is slow growing and you should only expect around 15cm (6 inches) of growth a year. It will need clipping annually to encourage it to thicken out to make a dense hedge. Box clips extremely well and can be used to make very tight shapes.

The plants shown in the picture are 20cm apart (centre to centre) which is the correct distance for planting out.

Buxus hedging grows well in most soil types, including dry sites and in shade however we recommend that planting compost is used to give your Box hedge plants the best chance of establishing well in their first few years after planting.

More information about planting a Buxus hedge can be found on the Box hedging category page. We usually stock a range of different sizes of box hedge plants including bare root plants during the colder months of the year and container grown plants all year round.

DO NOT BUY THIS TOY FOR A DOG
Style: Hedgehog
I purchased this toy for my Mothers 11 pound female 10 years old rescue dog. Under 1 hour the dog chewed off all the feet, the nose, and then started to pull off the fur. We took it away. Dangerous!!! The description list for Aggressive Chewers it is not!!!

Very High-Quality Hedgehog Dog Toy That’s Bigger Than Expected
Style: Hedgehog
I am SO happy with this -- it's a nice surprise to get a dog toy that is this nice quality-wise! This plush toy is well-made and much larger than I thought it would be. The stitching is solid, and the material holds up to rough chewing. My dog’s been playing with it daily and it still looks good. The squeaker’s not too loud, and the soft texture makes it perfect for tugging or tossing.

Very Soft Toy
Style: Hedgehog
This stuffed hedgehog is very soft and has a really nice squeaker in it. I can already tell that it will absolutely not hold up to an aggressive chewer, but it will be fun for a day or two for my pup. It would probably be way better as a giant toy for a tiny dog, but it was so cute that I couldn't resist for my husky mix.

One of my dog’s favorite toys.
This is one of my dog’s favorite toys. She loves figuring out how to pull the crinkly part out of the rubber tube, and she loves chewing on the spiky rubbery tube. I have to replace this toy often because my dog also likes to pull pieces of rubber off of the tube. She doesn’t ingest the rubber; she just loves the act of pulling it all apart. I am still giving this toy 5 stars because my dog loves this toy and it keeps her busy.
